A personal perspective.
Although there have been things happen in my life that have been extremely difficult, sometimes making me look carefully at my beliefs and even questioning why these things have happened - there has always been that 'something' inside me that has kept me in the protective light of my beliefs and faith. I wont say that there haven't been times when doubt has crept in, but I have always been able to look towards the light knowing that doubt has no place there.
Having said all that it's still a work in progress .

I think the challenge of retaining your faith in the face of life's challenges is the real test. To be willing to see obstacles in a different light is what is needed. Seeing yourself react, interact with social and personal situations as a third party, is one way to be an analyzer, observer rather than a victim or victor, without judgement. I think that's a poignant way to developing your spirit growth. Like any art, it is a practiced endeavour. My thoughts

I think you are quoting detachment. Agree, detachment ensures that our emotions don’t take over our judgment and become the sole basis of our actions.
